Bodies and Souls – The Century Project by Frank Cordelle – Age and other variables that alter the body can feel like a blessing to many people, but, more often than not, for many it feels like a curse. Puberty is a chilling prospect in addition to physical blemishes, and the thought of reaching old age.
Though such panics affect both sexes, girls and women appear to be the prime recipients of these tensions. It requires a special man to help facilitate the potential insecurities that females feel.
Enter photographer Frank Cordelle, who has received praise and recognition for his audacious pictures of females of all ages. What has really given his work focus is not that it’s women of ages, from birth to old age, but that they’ve been taken in the nude. But these aren’t super models.
These are girls with blemishes and incapacity, from the very young to the very old and wrinkled. Some are fat and a few are skinny. And an amazing body of his work was included in a book entitled Bodies and Souls: The Century Project.
Bodies and Souls is a most beautiful piece of work, filled with women from all walks of life.
The novel starts out, just as it says, with a arrival. We then proceed to children, to goddess, to young adults, to middle age, concluded by a ninety-four year old lady. While some women would fit into society’s definition of attractive, there are a lot who doesn’t. Some are missing breasts, some have scars, some are obese and aside from your physical characteristics, some have emotional baggage in which they’re weeping in the photos ( The Entire Story of all the Sex, Drugs and Debauchery That Did Not Happen at the Naked Adult Pajama Party , it works out, helps them cure).
A number of these young girls and women also have composed their testimonies in the book, stating how such a job continues to be beneficial and helpful to their mental well-being. Some of the stories are amusing and lighthearted, others heartbreaking, but these express a profound sense of gratitude to Cordelle for letting them be a part of this job.

Many people are taken aback and surprised to see such candid photographs of real girls. Some have a hard time handling it. How frequently is it that society is requested to accept the body of an overweight girl who are naked no less, or of a unclothed woman in a wheelchair?
Stripping away the clothing really does help the viewer to see and accept them as real people.
Consequently, the nudity in this book, far from being degrading or a cheap gimmick, helps the viewer to see women and girls as they truly are, as living breathing beings, worthy of reverence and admiration. I have regularly been disgusted with the way girls are treated in society. Derogatory remarks, pornography, and other unhealthy ways we handle girls are not beneficial to their self-esteem, nor can it be great for society. It is imperative to remember that they are our mothers, daughters, sisters and wives.
Bodies and Souls does much to help sweep away insalubrious views that made me feel welcome there. It was quite relaxing and have of women and that women have of their bodies. By stripping these girls with blemishes, naked and bare, the photographer continues to be able to help us identify with them more, as well as the models identifying with them.
Naturists, who are commonly promoters in the doctrine of “everybody is amazing,” will find much to understand about this fine work of art as it strengthened their already aforementioned confidences. Every naturist should have a copy of this publication in their personal library.
Cordelle has given the world an excellent gift with this novel full of hope and comprehension. I can only hope that more people would peruse its pages, reading the lovely messages of hope from females of all ages and all walks of life.
